My parents bought it for me for my birthday, and it is so wonderful. The short summary is that Lars falls in love with a sex doll he has ordered from the internet, but it would be more accurate to say that it is a movie about loneliness, community, and healing. It is quirky, thought-provoking, and hilarious. And it is so much more subtle and pure than you would expect.

I'm serious. Rent it. Now.
